Description
The Sustainability Impacts Review (SIR) is an international peer-reviewed, open-access sustainability journal. Regarding the types of papers, the SIR publishes original papers, commentaries, book reviews, and short communications.
Manuscript Submission
SIR is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original and cutting-edge research in all aspects of sustainability, focusing on the countries of the global south. Therefore, the submission of a manuscript indicates that the work has not been published before or is currently under review for publication elsewhere. In the case of joint authorship, the submission must be approved by all co-authors. Besides, they are required to declare that there is no conflict of interest.
The text for the Original Paper should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including endnotes, references, tables, and figures.
Commentaries, Book Review Papers, and Short Communications should not exceed 4000 words, with no more than three figures and/or tables.
Permissions
In the case of figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere, authors are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s). Thus, any material received will be assumed to have originated from the authors. The journal will not be held legally responsible for any compensation claims. Finally, authors should maintain high standards of publication ethics. Falsification of data, plagiarism and other unethical practices will not be tolerated.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the SIR are first reviewed by the editors. Manuscripts that do not adequately fit the journal's aim and scope may be rejected without peer review. The manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent to at least two independent reviewers for peer review. Based on the reviewers’ feedback and the editors' judgment, a decision will be made on the manuscripts.
Manuscript Format and Organisation
Manuscripts may be formatted in single or double spacing. Margins should be one inch (2.5 cm) at the top, bottom, and sides of the page. Font size should be 12 points, preferably Times New Roman or Arial. Manuscripts should be submitted as a single file in Word, rich text format (rtf), or open document format (odt). While the manuscripts can be submitted in PDF format alongside the Word file, PDFs alone will not be accepted.
